Admissions

St. Matthew School admits students of any race, color, and national or ethnic origin. St. Matthew School accepts children of all religious affiliations. To enter 4-year-old Kindergarten [4K], the child must be four years of age on or before September 1. To enter 5-year-old Kindergarten [5K], the child must be five years of age on or before September 1. To enter First grade, the child must be six years of age on or before September 1. This is a Wisconsin State Law requirement.

St. Matthew School participates in the Racine Parental Choice Program (RPCP).

If you currently live in the Racine Unified School District, you may qualify to receive a voucher that would pay for your child’s tuition for the following school year. We accept Choice students in grades 4K-8.

For the required forms and further information, visit the Department of Public Instruction website at: https://dpi.wi.gov/sms/choice-programs. Families eligible for the Racine Parental Choice Program need to provide proof of residency and previous year’s income.

Complete and return the Enrollment Form.

The following documentation IS REQUIRED when enrolling:

  • Original Birth Certificate

  • Copy of Baptismal Certificate, if applicable (unless baptized at St. Matthew Church)

  • Copy of immunization record (must meet state immunization requirements)

  • Copy of First Penance Certificate, if applicable (unless received at St. Matthew Church)

  • Copy of First Communion Certificate, if applicable (unless received at St. Matthew Church

$100.00 (per child) tuition deposit required. (Does not apply to RPCP students.)
